The short answer

Durable, B12, 10Web, Mixo and ContentMetric all make a first draft of a small-business site from a short description. They differ in what comes after. Durable adds a CRM and bookings. 10Web gives you WordPress. B12 has client tools and an expert option. Mixo has a free plan. ContentMetric adds a design specialist on Pro. Pick by who will run the site.

We make ContentMetric, so we are not neutral. This page compares five AI website builders for small businesses, including Durable, and says where each one is the better pick. Facts about the others come from their own pricing pages, checked on 17 October 2026. We could not load some details (noted below), and we say so rather than guess.

The short answer

  • You want the cheapest quick start with a CRM and bookings built in: Durable.
  • You want WordPress under the hood: 10Web.
  • You want to try a paid plan for a dollar, with an option to hire experts: B12.
  • You want to start free with no card: Mixo, or ContentMetric Free.
  • You want a person to design the site and handle updates: ContentMetric Pro.

What these five have in common

You answer a few questions about your business. The tool makes a site in minutes. You then edit it, usually by asking an AI. All five have some kind of free start, or a very cheap one. All five are good enough to get a small business online quickly. The real differences are what you pay for later, who does the work, and how easy it is to leave.

Durable

Durable is built to launch a site in about 30 seconds and bundle the things a small business needs next. Its pricing page lists:

  • Free, $0: a site preview, 300 AI credits to try, up to 10 customers in its CRM.
  • Launch, $25 a month ($22 a month if you pay yearly): your own domain (connect one, or get one free), 1,000 AI credits a month, bookings, a built-in CRM, advanced SEO and AI search features, priority human support.
  • Grow, $49 a month ($41 a month yearly): everything in Launch, plus 5,000 AI credits a month, no cap on team members, a one-to-one onboarding call, and automatic translation of your whole site.

What to know: Durable says it is a no-code tool and does not offer extensive HTML customization. It also says it is not designed specifically for ecommerce, though some customers have launched stores on it. If you cancel, you can get your domain transferred to you, which Durable says takes a couple of weeks.

Best for: a sole trader who wants a cheap site with a customer list and online booking in one place.

B12

B12 builds a draft in about two minutes and has a tab on its pricing page for "Experts do it for you". Plans on its page:

  • Free, $0: a b12sites.com address, a visual editor with AI chat, 5 daily AI credits (maximum 30 a month).
  • Website, $24 a month: your own domain (free for the first year), 100 AI credits a month, up to 10 projects, B12 ads removed.
  • Website + Client Engagement, $78 a month: adds client intake, email marketing, contracts and e-signatures, a custom email address, 300 AI credits a month.

B12 advertises a limited-time offer: try it for $1 for 7 days. We could not read the details of its expert option from the page, so check the cost before you plan around it.

Best for: a service business that wants client forms, contracts and email in the same tool.

10Web

10Web builds on WordPress and sells hosting with it. Its page lists, for the "Business" tab:

  • AI Starter, $10 a month: 1 website, 100 AI credits a month, 10GB storage, 10,000 monthly visitors. 10Web says this is 12 months for $120 (regular price $240), so the $10 is the annual offer.
  • AI Premium, $15 a month: 2 websites, 200 credits.
  • AI Ultimate, $22.50 a month: 4 websites, 300 credits, and a Cloudflare CDN on one site.

It also lists a free custom domain for the first year (up to $30), a full WordPress CMS, a 30-day money-back guarantee, and tools that redesign or clone an existing page from its address. 10Web has agency plans too, which are for people who build sites for clients.

Best for: someone who wants WordPress, with its plugin world, but with AI doing the first build.

Mixo

Mixo describes itself as a builder where you describe the business and it builds a site with pages, contact forms, a blog and SEO. Its pages say a free plan is available with no credit card, your site starts on a free Mixo web address, and you upgrade when you want your own domain. It also offers a 30-day money-back guarantee. The paid plan prices did not load on the page we could read, so we are not quoting them.

Best for: trying a site at no cost, then deciding.

ContentMetric

  • Free, US$0: 30 credits a month, one site, a contentmetric.com address, a small badge. Not a trial.
  • Pro, US$49 a month (US$470 a year): your own domain, 150 credits a month, the badge can be hidden, ten people, and a design specialist who designs the site and handles updates.
  • Business, US$98 a month (US$940 a year): three sites, 400 credits, and the shop.

You can also connect your own Claude or ChatGPT (beta) to the site on Pro and above. A site on the free address is not listed by search engines, so to be found on Google you need Pro and your own domain. See our pricing.

Best for: an owner who would rather ask for changes than make them, and wants a person to do the design.

All five side by side

DurableYes, preview only$25 a month ($22 yearly)CRM, bookings, AI search tools
B12Yes, on a B12 address$24 a monthClient tools, expert option
10WebOffers a free start, plan details not stated$10 a month on its annual offerWordPress and hosting
MixoYes, no cardNot loadedSimple free start
ContentMetricYes, stays online$49 a month (Pro)A specialist designs and updates the site

Where ContentMetric is not the best choice: if price is your first filter, Durable, B12 and 10Web all have paid plans that start lower than our Pro plan. Our Pro price is higher because a person does the design work.

How to choose

1. Who will run the site?

If it is you, any of the five will do. If you want someone else to do it, ContentMetric Pro is built for that, and B12 has an expert option.

2. What else do you need?

Bookings and a customer list point to Durable. Contracts and client forms point to B12. A plugin ecosystem points to 10Web.

3. How easy is it to leave?

Own your domain and keep your own copy of your text and images, whichever you pick. A site on a builder address cannot move with you.

4. Do you need to sell online?

If selling is the main job, check each tool carefully. Durable says it is not designed specifically for ecommerce. For a big store, use a store platform.

Switching from one of these to ContentMetric

  1. Start free. Describe your business and see it as a ContentMetric site. Your current site stays live.
  2. Save your content. Copy your page text and download your images.
  3. Move to Pro if you want a specialist to design the new site with your content.
  4. Connect your domain. Add two DNS records and wait from 5 minutes to 48 hours. See how to connect a domain.
  5. Cancel the old plan once the new site is live and checked.

Common questions

Is Durable free?

Durable has a free plan with a site preview, 300 AI credits to try and up to 10 customers in its CRM. To put the site live on your own domain you need a paid plan: Launch is $25 a month, or $22 a month on yearly billing.

What is the best Durable alternative?

It depends on what you need. 10Web suits people who want WordPress, B12 suits client-service businesses, Mixo is an easy free start, and ContentMetric suits owners who want a design specialist to run the site on Pro.

Can I move my Durable site to another builder?

Durable describes itself as a no-code tool and does not offer extensive HTML customization. We found no code export described on its pricing page, so plan to rebuild the site and carry over your text and images. You can arrange to have your domain transferred to you if you cancel.

Which AI website builder is cheapest?

On the pricing pages we read, 10Web's AI Starter is $10 a month on its annual offer, B12's Website plan is $24 a month and Durable's Launch plan is $25 a month. Mixo and ContentMetric have free plans. Prices change, so check each page before you buy.
