Tell the AI assistant how your site should be written and built, once. The default skill is always on; pick a named one in the chat with /.

A skill is a short set of instructions the AI assistant follows on your site. Write them once in plain words and every chat starts with them, so you stop repeating "British English, no exclamation marks, the button always says Book a call".
Open your site, go to Settings and then Skills. The first row is default. It is always on: every chat on this site, in the editor and from a connected AI app, follows it.
Leave the box empty and the assistant works the way it does today.
Named skills are for jobs you repeat, such as a blog post, a landing page or a product description. They are on Pro and up.
You can have up to 10 named skills on a site. The ... button on a row lets you Duplicate or Delete a skill. Deleting asks you to confirm.
Named skills are not loaded until you ask for one, so they cost nothing until then.
You can pick up to three skills in one chat. The assistant may also use a named skill on its own when your request matches its description, and it will say so in its reply.
Skills count toward your credits, because the assistant reads them with every request. A full-length skill adds well under one credit to a large build and almost nothing to a small edit. Each skill holds up to 4,000 characters; shorter is cheaper. See What credits are and how they are used.
Can a skill make the assistant ignore the safety rules? No. A skill decides tone, wording and style. The assistant still never invents a phone number, an address or a price, and still follows the rules that keep your site working.
Who can edit skills? Anyone who can edit the site: the owner, admins and editors. Viewers can read them.
Is this the same as the Design brief? No. The Design brief on the General page holds the look: fonts, colours, corner radius. Skills hold instructions in your own words. Keep the brief for the look and use the default skill for everything else.
Do connected AI apps follow my skills? Yes. An app connected through AI & code gets the default skill when it starts and can read a named skill when your request matches it.
