Connect Claude or another AI assistant to your site

As well as the AI assistant built into the editor, you can connect an AI app you already use. It can then read and edit this one site on your behalf.

This is available on Pro, Business and Enterprise, and during your free trial.

Find your connector address

1. Open Settings for the site from the site menu at the top of the left rail.
2. Go to AI & code.
3. Under Connect an AI you will see the Connector address, plus a tab for each app.

Claude and ChatGPT

These sign in with your ContentMetric account, so there is nothing to paste and no token to look after.

For ChatGPT:

1. In ChatGPT, open Settings, then Connectors. You may need to turn on Developer mode under Security first.
2. Add a custom connector and paste the connector address.
3. Set Authentication to OAuth, then Connect.
4. Sign in to ContentMetric and approve the connection.

ChatGPT support is marked Beta.

Cursor and other apps

The Cursor and Other apps tabs show a small block of configuration to copy, which needs an access token. Create one under Access tokens on the same page. The token is shown once, so copy it before you close the box.

Keep control

• Connected apps lists everything you have approved. Revoke cuts one off. Any app using it stops working straight away.
• A connected app can only reach this one site, and never more than your own role allows.

Common questions

Do AI edits from a connected app use credits? Credits cover the AI built into ContentMetric. An outside app you connect uses its own AI subscription.

I lost my access token. You cannot see an old one again. Revoke it and create a new one.
