The emails your buyers get when a pickup is ready, a parcel is on its way, an order is delivered or changed, and how to skip or switch them off.
Updated 7 Oct 2026
Your buyers are emailed when their order moves on, so they do not have to ask. The emails come from your shop's name, and replies go to your Reply-to address.
Each email goes once. Clicking a button twice, or two people clicking it, never sends a second one.
The buyer's order page, the link in their receipt, shows the same step: Ready, On its way with the tracking number, Collected or Delivered. A pay-at-pickup order you mark ready before it is paid reads "Ready to collect, pay when you collect".
Every window that sends one of these emails has an Email the buyer box, ticked. Untick it to skip the email for that order. The timeline then says "buyer not emailed".
To switch them all off, open Shop settings, then Notifications and checkout, and turn off Send these emails under Order status emails. There you can also write a Footer note that is added to each one, for example "Bring this email when you collect."
The order is still updated. It shows Status email not sent and a message with Resend email. Click it once the problem is fixed. The buyer gets the email once.
Orders from a marketplace such as Lazada never do: they are handled in that marketplace. An order whose buyer has been anonymised has no email address left, so none is sent.
