Where each Shop setting lives

A short map of Shop settings: the three lists, the Setup tasks box, and what each group holds.

Updated 7 Oct 2026

Shop settings opens on a page of three lists: Products, Payments and delivery, and Connections. Each row is one group and says in words what it is set to now, for example "Stripe connected · Manual payments: Bank transfer" or "Shipping: on · Local delivery: off · Local pickup: off". Click a row to open that group. Grey text means a setting is off. Amber text means there is something for you to do.

At the very top, a box called Setup tasks appears only while something needs you: Connect Stripe to take card payments, Publish your site while a page the Shop added (such as Basket or Account) is not live yet, Publish your site again while your live pages still use an older version of the Shop app (one row names both when both are true; its Publish now button puts your live pages out again with the new version, while a page still in draft needs Publish in the editor), and Add the Basket button to your header. The box counts what is left and goes away when nothing is. A shop with no way to be paid yet (no Stripe, no pay at pickup and no bank transfer) shows Setup required in the Apps list, and the Payment gateways row says Stripe is not connected.

Each list ends with one grey Coming soon line naming the parts that are not built yet. Nothing there can be switched on.

Inside a group, the bar at the top shows where you are, Shop / Stock for example. Click Shop to go back to the lists. Save sits in the same bar so it stays in view on a long group. On a phone it is the same, one column.

  • Product types: the kinds of product you sell. Add products under Content, then Products.
  • Product options and questions: the switches for product options (sizes and colours) and for customer questions, plus questions asked on every product. On the first page its row counts the live products sold in more than one size or option, for example "Product options: 1 product", however their sizes were set up.
  • Stock: whether the shop tracks stock, the most of one item per order, and Lots and best-before.
  • Pricing and discounts: the switches for discount codes and for Trade prices (see Trade prices for businesses).
  • Payment gateways: Accepted payment methods at the top, then Online payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal) and Manual payments (Pay at pickup, Bank transfer).
  • Shipping and delivery: local pickup locations, local delivery areas, shipping zones, and when the customer picks a date.
  • Region and taxes: currency, tax, the language customers see, and your time zone.
  • Notifications and checkout: your business details, the receipt email, the order status emails, new order notifications, customer privacy, your policies link and the checkout button colour. Once Trade prices are on, it also holds Pay on account (see Pay on account for trade customers).
  • Sales channels: if the Lazada Sync app is installed, its state and a link to its page.
  • Accounting: Export orders (CSV), a download of your orders as a spreadsheet, and the Xero Sync pages if that app is installed.

Change business type is at the top, next to the line that says what the shop was set up as. Download CSV for your orders is on the Accounting row.

More pages sit next to Orders in the editor menu: Product choices, where you set up options and questions for one product, Discount codes, and Trade customers and Price lists for trade prices.

Switches and choices save the moment you change them, and the page says Saved. Boxes you type into, such as a question, are saved with Save in the bar. Notifications and checkout has no bar: its switches and choices save at once, and each box you type into, such as your business details or the address for new order notifications, has a Save of its own that lights up while you have unsaved changes in it. Payment gateways has no Save at all: its two small forms, Save and connect for PayPal and Save bank details for Bank transfer, have a button of their own. If something is not allowed, for example a box that is too long, the page tells you which box to fix and that part is not saved. If you leave a group, close settings or open another part of settings with typed text that is not saved, you are asked Save your changes? with Save changes, Keep editing and Discard changes.

Old links to a group, for example one that ends in ?tab=payments, still open the same group.

For the individual settings, see Pickup, local delivery and shipping, Currency, tax and language, Set up your shop, and Track lots and best-before dates.
