Add a WhatsApp chat button to your site

Show a round WhatsApp button in the corner of every page, so visitors can message you in one tap. It is on every plan.

Updated 18 Oct 2026

The WhatsApp Chat button is a small round green button in the bottom-right corner of your site. A visitor taps it and WhatsApp opens a chat with your number. It is on every plan, including Free.

Add it

  1. Open Settings for the site from the site menu at the top of the left rail.
  2. Go to Integrations.
  3. Click the WhatsApp Chat card.
  4. Type your WhatsApp number in international format: a +, then the country code, then the number. For example, +6591234567.
  5. Click Connect.
  6. Publish your site. The button appears once the site is published.

Where it shows

  • On every page of the site, in the bottom-right corner. It stays in place as the visitor scrolls.
  • On a phone it is a little smaller and sits a little closer to the corner.
  • If your site has a language switcher or the ContentMetric badge in that corner, the button sits just above it so nothing is covered.
  • If your site has a Shop, the basket button moves up to make room for it.
  • It does not print.

The button opens wa.me, WhatsApp's own chat link. The visitor sends the first message from their own WhatsApp.

Change the number or remove the button

  1. Go back to Settings, then Integrations, and click the WhatsApp Chat card.
  2. To change the number, type the new one and click Save.
  3. To remove the button, click Disconnect and confirm.
  4. Publish your site again so the change goes live.

Let the AI assistant do it

Ask your AI assistant, for example: "Add a WhatsApp chat button for +6591234567". It connects the integration for you. Publish afterwards to show it.

Common questions

Can I choose the colour or the corner? No. The button uses WhatsApp's own green and sits bottom-right.

Can I put a WhatsApp link inside a page instead? Yes. Add a normal button or link to your page and point it at https://wa.me/ followed by your number with digits only.

Is this the same as "Order on WhatsApp" in the Shop? No. That one belongs to a single product page. See Order on WhatsApp.
